It\'s a puzzle and a magnetic fishing game! My kids love it. I love giving them low tech toys and Melissa and Doug make the best.

Being an Early Intervention teacher I was delighted when I found the Melissa & Doug Magnetic Wooden Fishing Game for my Granddaughter.
It has all the essentials you would look for in a toy. It is bright, attractive,motivating and fun. The fact that it has other educational benefits is a BIG bonus for me.
Having the magnetic component to help develop eye hand co-ordination is great.
Initially it was a little challenging for my Granddaughter to catch the fish with the pole, however she did not give up. In fact it encouraged her perseverance and problem solving skills. She shortened her grip on the pole and steadied the cord with her other hand until she caught \"her\" fish.
This is not just a puzzle but an activity that will grow with my Granddaughter as her fine motor skills improve.

Purchased this product as well as the Magnetic Bug Catching Game for my 23 month old daughter as she loves puzzles. Something different for her to do and it is great! She knows where the puzzles are supposed to go, but especially enjoys using the magnetic \'fishing\' rod to catch and place the puzzle pieces. Highly recommend this product as it helps with her coordination development skills.
