great easel, very stable with no sharp edges and tray accessible to both white board and chalk side is great. Chalk board surface is easy to write on & cleans easy with standard brand chalk & eraser (need to purchase separately). Have a 21mth old & she loves the chalk side now. We do need to watch the felt magnet letters & numbers that come with product for use on the white board side but they work well for now and she can't scratch the white board with them. The felt magnets may not last for ever but when she is older & knows not to sratch the surface of the board we will use our harder plastic magnet letters. Very happy with this purchase.
